GySgt. Sherman E. “Gene” Pitts (Distinguished Pistol Shot – 1979) passed away on Monday, 23 May 2022. He had been suffering many years with serious health issues. His funeral will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, 10 June at 1400. A Celebration of Life to honor Gene will be held immediately following the funeral at the Sahib Shriners Event Center.
